A simple olive oil lamp

Kitchem roll wick. Tin foil and oil oil. A shot glass of oil burned for about hour I think.

Your lamp shows that many things in life can be as simple or as complcated as we make them. That applies to a lot of things.

Excellent, we used grease & oil lamps plus candles for lighting for over 20 years. People need to slow down and look back & think about that simple primitive technology. People complain about global warming & pollution, but at the same time they want more & more things that they think will improve their quality of life. One has to draw a line.
I made a clay grease lamp when I was out in the woods one time, think I still have it somewhere. Worked very well, fun making it & using it.

Excellent Andy, All the things you have used can be found discarded around old camping sites, even the olive oil. First class bud!
