I had the pleasure of attending an introductory wilderness living skills course at the weekend with Patrick McGlinchey of backwoods survival school just south of Glasgow.
Skills covered included game prep, cooking, river crossing, bow drill fire lighting and much more.
I have to say I was very impressed with Patricks ability to teach, his skills and his knowledge. You get the feeling that a weekend with him only scratches the surface of his depths.
I hope to go back next year for his week long natural pathways course.
In the meantime Patrick has inspired me to make a few new things.
