Dreamscheme

Hi all,
We ran a course for a cross community group today. Its fantastic to see schemes like this which help bridge the gap in our country. A very worthy cause and one which we are delighted to be involved in. The guys knew very little about the outdoors and had lived their lives in the city.
Its wonderful to watch them getting excited about seeing a squirrel and a Heron, both common sights in the woods.
They gutted and panached trout. Most of them said that they don't eat fish. But after gutting and filleting them, then cooking them over the fire they were tempted to try them and the next thing they were all eaten. Brilliant.
Shelter building and fire went very well. In fact they were better at lighting fires than most other students we have taught.
Overall an excellent experience for students and instructors.
