It's true. My son has his chainsaw licence and we suggested he go for his tree surgery licence too (but so far he hasn't) as he could make a mint some months.
I work in the Cairngorms National Park and the tree surgeons there were working all hours (and charging a fortune) following the heavy snowfall in winter 2009/10 and to a lesser extent 2010/11. Limbs were damaged or hanging precariously off Scots Pines all other the place and as there are many miles of footpaths they had to be removed.
