I once knew a guy who had a mouse that was too smart to catch in a regular trap. He propped his old console TV up about four inches with a miniature figure four trigger and caught him the first night! I assume the TV still worked afterward; he never said otherwise.

thanks for the comments. My cat was catch no problem. Very effective. wife wasnt happy though.
Gorges, IMprovised traps are much better fun anyway. Anyone can go and buy a trap.
